News and upcoming events!

So my life has been this! Sorry I haven't been the best blogger...but my house is sold, packed and en route to Vermont via Jordy. The boys and I are in a furnished fabulous condo in Driggs.
This week we had some visitors...like this cutie who will be in Kindergarten next year.
 And this one too!
We had a good time with them. We had a GREAT snack...it's called the fishing snack and yes it's gluten free....you take pretzel sticks, peanut butter and any little critter snacks (goldfish, bunnies, gummies) and go fishing using your pretzel sticks and peanut butter as a pole and bait. Catch and EAT...not CATCH and release!
This is quite funny...of a THURSDAY at the Alta school. Take note of how tall I am!
This is what happens when teachers are stuck in the foyer!
Thursday night I only took 2 photos...cause I was chasing after my own kid! Here is a picture of the big room doing Tortoise and Hare in Spanish. Wow!
And the INSANITY around pinatas...good thing we only did 3. That was crazy!
And after all that my kids were more than happy to sit right down and take a little computer test.
They did GREAT!
It was a busy week!

Say! It's May!!!

Hi all!!! I am glad my news is out. It is an EXCITING and sad time for me. I have been so happy here at the Alta school. It just turns out that not everything was working for my family. We are thrilled to be moving to Morrisville...working there and in Stowe. I am so looking forward to starting back to school in the next year or so. I hope you know this is not good bye...but, it's see you soon. Please do not hesitate to look me up in Vermont if you are passing through or coming for a visit. I will send my contact info to your inbox. In the meantime, let's enjoy our last few weeks together!

Monday was our Mother's Day Tea party. We enjoyed scones, muffins, cookies, strawberries and cream and some hot tea. It was fun to sit, snuggle and serve our moms. We LOVE our moms!

Some other things to know about...

The new teacher coming to Alta School is a great friend of mine and I am so excited for the Alta community and her. She is thrilled to come and teach here.

Kinders are working hard on our performance for next Thursday. We have also been working with Avery's mom (Sheena) designing and creating our shirts. They are looking very cool!

Space Lab is here next week. K's will visit the lab to learn more about space. Mrs. Stitt's class is studying space and they invited us down. Yea!

I could use some Pinata making volunteers. We were hoping to start after lunch around 12:30 on Friday. Any takers on CRAFTING with us!!!! Let me know. The Pinatas are for the BIG PROJECT celebration next Thursday night.

Snack help...HELP! We ran out of snack money. I bought enough to get us through this week and possibly Monday...but if you have anything around the house such as:
Cheese sticks
Bananas
Boiled Eggs
Crackers...
Please make sure snacks are GLUTEN free!!!!

23 days left as a Kindergartner!!!!

Yea! I love this week! So far parents have arranged appointments for manicures during my planning time....and filled the school with yummy food. Thanks for appreciating us!

Last week was so amazing...but BUSY! I got a little behind and I promise to get pictures up with Basho and Friends. I am looking forward to the night of May 23rd for our Big Project culminating event!

We are going to the FARM this Thursday. We hope to leave by foot (weather dependent) and take the bus back. I have several volunteers going, but just let me know if you would like to come along, so I can count you on the bus pick-up. Please have your child bring/wear a coat, mud boots (snow boots will work), and farm clothes. I will be donning a pair of cover-alls. FUN!

Monday, May 13th at 1:45 we are going to have a Mother's tea. Please join us for afternoon tea and scones.

For the next few weeks we will be wrapping up projects, finishing units, working on our problem solving strategies, TAKING MAPS, getting DIBELed, meeting and conferring with Mrs. Griffin, singing LOTS, writing tons (wow this class can write), trying our best to follow ALL THE RULES, play, play, and more play AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST having lots of fun!

May 27th is Memorial day..No school then!
